Originally from Jerusalem, Israel, Yair is a director of photography splitting his time between Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles.

After finishing his studies at Minshar Art School in Tel Aviv with a commendation for Cinematography, Yair graduated from the American Film Institute Cinematography MFA program in LA.

Yair has lived and worked in many countries around the world including South and Central America, Africa, the Middle East and the US. He tries to implement his multi-cultural perspective into the projects he is shooting.

His narrative work has been featured in numerous festivals around the world including IDFA, Montreal Film Festival, The Jerusalem Film Festival, Tel Aviv Film Festival, Filmfest Eberswalde, Ohio Athens Film Festival and Nashville Film Festival.

In 2018, Yair was nominated for the ASC Heritage Award.
